Spotlight on The Definitive Voice
Asked
about the real defining moment that solidly launched me onto the path of
a voice over career, I'd say it was being welcomed into the CNN family
in the Atlanta, GA headquarters. I also credit my affiliation with
major market radio stations prior to and after CNN. In Maryland, I did
voice over work and scripting for a huge, prestigious school system and
Reuters Health Video Online in the DC area.
I reflect being at
Cable News Network's (CNN) radio division and Headline News during the
Persian Gulf War was an amazing, unforgettable adventure. To name other
highlights the Centennial Olympics bombing in Atlanta and the O.J.
Simpson debacle in Los Angeles.
Perhaps it may be interesting to
note that I am a multi-award-winning broadcast journalist. My voice has
been aired globally, nationally and locally. The latest noteworthy
voice over projects include:
- An audiobook gift of a New York Times bestseller for a client’s visually-impaired friend
- A regional radio health care spot geared toward helping seniors
- And an on-camera role for a major pharmaceutical company's video
- U.S. government military scripts for educational purposes
Finally, most folk don't know this but I was the initial, professional
voice of The Positive News Network podcast. The bulk of my on-air
experience has been to use my vocal skills for radio and TV, mostly
newscasts. Everything started for me in Connecticut and New York,
considered major market.
At The Definitive Voice,
my professional voice talent developed naturally from years of hard
work, enthusiasm and persistence. Mentors have included the leading
voice over experts from the east to the west coast.
